  After listening to a podcast about strategies to deal with an overly busy and anxious mind, I decided to try Forever Floating. I had walked by the building numerous times, usually on my way somewhere to have a glass of wine to unwind.
  
  I was very nervous on my first visit, and also a touch cynical about the benefits of floating in a sensory deprived environment. However I was open to trying something new, as wine was now becoming a problem rather than a solution.
  
  I concur with all previous reviewers that Austin is friendly and knowledgeable. One of my main concerns was that Forever Floating would have an overly Tree-of-Life-hippy vibe. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but my pragmatic and logical nature doesn’t respond very well to any type of mysticism.
  
  Anyway, I suppose the best recommendation that I can give is that I now regularly go to Forever Floating and some of my close friends have started to go too based on the changes that they have noticed in me. I recently read Dan Harris’ book on meditation called ‘10% Happier: How I Tamed the Voice in My Head, Reduced Stress Without Losing My Edge, and Found Self-Help That Actually Work’. Forever Floating is my 10% Happier place. It hasn’t turned me into an ultra-calm Tree-of-life hippy dress wearing person. However I am noticeably more patient, more focused and – most importantly – kinder to others and myself. Oh, I am no teetotaler either. However wine is now something to be enjoyed in good company and not used as a pacifier for an anxious brain.

  Had my first float today and it was one of the most relaxing experiences of my life. I'm definitely going back. The tank and facilities were very clean and comfortable. Thank you Austin!
